Kodi Issues

DigiXstream Shop technical support staff is aware of a major issue with the Kodi Media Center. We are working hard to resolve this issue. This issue is not limited to only our devices, but is causing problems with Kodi worldwide. The culprit is in one of the core operating features that runs in the background of Kodi.

DigiXstream and Shop are always striving to provide you with the best product that is the most user friendly device and interface. We have pushed out a new app to help with clearing and resetting the functionality of the Kodi Media Center and your device. Please follow the following steps to clear out the issue at hand.

1.) From the home screen select Apps or simply press the Green button on your remote.

2.) Scroll down the list of apps until you see the new tech support app. It has a box with Super TS in it and below the icon it reads Super Tech Support. Select it and press OK on your remote.

3.) First thing you should do is select option 5.

You need to be on the latest firmware. If there is an available upgrade, then you must do that upgrade. When given the option, make sure you select both clear data and cache. This is very important.

If the OTA screen says that there are no updates then press the Return button on your remote. It is up and to the right of the OK button on the standard remote.

4.) The next option you will need to select on the Super TS screen is Option 1. You should reset the Media Player. This clears the data and cache in Kodi. This is important because we want to get rid of the bad code.

5.) Once that is complete then you need to ReInstall the Media Player. Select option 2 and press OK. This will install a fresh version of Kodi. This may take a few minutes. Be patient.

6.) When it is complete press the home button on your remote.

7.) Back at the home screen press the red Kodi button on your remote. There may be a bit of a delay when you first open Kodi. This is normal.

8.) Once in Kodi select Video AddOnns. If your setup shortcut, otherwise known as !OnlyWizard is not there then press the red Kodi button twice. This will take you out of Kodi and bring you right back in. Go back to Video AddOns and your setup shortcut should be there. If for some reason it is still not there, make sure you check your internet connection.

9.) Select your Setup Shortcut and select the options you wish to have and allow it to run. This may take some time due to server load, so please be patient.

10.) Once it is complete you will be prompted to press the red Kodi button twice.

11.) Give the Kodi Media center a few minutes to fully load and then you will be ready to enjoy your streaming media player again.

  • As of this moment, the !OnlyWizard is still not fully repaired on our server. For this reason when you set your box back up again you may notice things don’t look like they did. This is because the DigiXstream team is performing major updates on the back end of the DigiXstream box. If you run your wizard while one of these major updates are going on, you may notice some issues like the skin changing to a more basic skin, or the thumbnails not being listed at the bottom of the screen.

    If you ever notice these kind of issues after an update, it simply means that work is being done on the backend to improve our customer experiences and you may have run the wizard in the middle of one of our updates. Simply run it again in the next 30mins to an hour and it should fix everything the way it should be.

      • Patricia. DigiXstream boxes don’t come with free tech support unless you ordered it through our DigiXstream Shop with tech support included. If you ordered through our DigiXstream Shop, you can call for support. If your unit came from any other source, you can still order Tech Support Service at anytime.

      • No Mike. There aren’t any DigiXstream updates anymore. There hasn’t been for a long time now. DigiXstream went out of business before the new year. They really abandoned it for over a year before they closed their doors for good.

        • I can’t seem to get videos to come on screen. I am at the screen that says “Start here” “Systems”
          After going into systems and then to “add-ons”…..it does nothing.
          Puts me in a “repository” place and I have no idea what to do.

          • I apologize Kelli but there is nothing you can do at this point if you have done a factory reset on that box. The TV App Store tool that let you access the abandoned server isn’t working anymore. DigiXstream has been out of business in 2017 and no one has been updating or maintaining that box in over 2 years. We have been trying to warn the public of the shift in management ever since I stopped developing and growing that brand in 2016.   • !only wizard will not show up on the add on screen . Checked internet connection and everything still nothing showing up

  • i updated mine last night and now it has no shows or movies or anything. kodi is non existing. really liked the old version much better. i did these steps and still have nothing to watch. dx4 plus

  • I have tryed to up date my digjxstream kodi d3 box.I followed all of the steps and none of it seems to be working for me at point and time.if some one could kindly help me guide me or let me know if there is other way I can approach this.your help would be much appreciated

  • Well, I have Digi 5 and 5 plus, and other oder Digi Streams and all I can say is that I had the best 5 or 6 years of the best service I could receive from all the Digi units. Until now. I just bought the Digi ‘s at the beginning of the year (2018) and decided this weeked to upgrade and lost everything on my Digi 5. And stupid me decided to try to upgrade to my Digi 5 + and screwed that one up to and now I have them both screwed up. Now there is KODI loaded and it stinks. I do not know how to get movies or anything. I guess I will by something else not Digi related as I think they screwed us all.
